Mr. Pumpkin becomes Mr. Jack O' Lantern

A couple of weeks ago Georgia Blair brought home a huge pumpkin from "school". I believe it was the largest one she could find! The irony is when we went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend, she picked out the smallest one she could find- go figure! Anyway, we decided that it was time to carve Mr. Pumpkin and make him Mr. Jack O' Lantern. Casey wanted to create a UK pumpkin, but of course I won out and we carved a traditional toothy smile.

If you don't know, Georgia Blair is probably the cleanest child that you will ever meet (i do believe that she is in the early stages of OCD). She picks fuzz off of her blanket and don't worry about keeping your carpet clean, she will clean it for you. With that said, she took one look at the inside and said no, no, no. She didn't want any part of that "mess". So she plopped herself in the chair and watched daddy until it was no longer interesting, then she moved onto better things.

This picture makes me SMILE!

In the end, we put a candle in Mr. Jack O'Lantern and she wasn't all that impressed, but we know that Halloween is almost here!
