Happy Birthday, Gran!

Last weekend, our whole family traveled to Gatlinburg to surprise my Gran for her 80th birthday.  It was extra special because one "Georgia" was turnng 80 and another "Georgia" will soon be turning 2.  We rented a large cabin up in the mountains and celebrated with lots of food, games, gifts and a special video tribute especially for Gran.  She just couldn't believe that we had kept such a big secret for so long!  She was very surprised and grateful for the weekend.

Through all of the weekend activities, Georgia Blair had a terrible cough and she sounded awful. After a day full of breathing treatments, she wasn't sounding any better so at 11pm on Saturday night, we packed up the car and headed for Corbin and the ER.  After 21/2 hours in the ER (we left at 4 am) she had a diagnosis of Croup.  After a round of  steroids and antibiotics, she is feeling much better.  She didn't let it dampen her spirit, she had a great time and especially loved all of the extra attention that she gets when the family is together.
The Robinson Family: Patrick, Allison, Missy, Patsy, Peggy, BoBo, Susie and Gran.

Celebrating such a milestone birthday made me think about how lucky I am to have such a wonderful family! I had the privilage to have both of my grandmothers in my life for 28 years- not many people can say that!  And after 29 years, I still have one.  Georgia Blair is extra- lucky because she was able to meet my Grandma before she passed in December and she still has two great-gradmothers (Gran and Granny-Casey's grandmother) who love her very much!

Happy Birthday Gran!
